Employment Opportunities
Private lesson teachers: The Academy hires teachers with music degrees and private teaching experience as independent contractors. As a referral service, we offer severalteachers on each instrument. If you are interested in a position at the Academy, please fax, email or mail your resume.
Music therapists: The Academy hires music therapists to work part-time as employees, primarily through its Crescendo Music Program, serving preschool children at risk. Generally on weekday mornings, the therapist will conduct weekly music sessions with small groups of children, focusing on their developmental skills. Music therapists may also be hired as
independent contractors to conduct private music therapy sessions or adaptive instrumental private lessons. If you are interested in a music therapy position, please fax, email or mail your resume.

From Route 309:
Take Route 309 to the Flourtown exit (Route 73). Follow signs for Route 73 West (Church Road). If you are coming from the North, you will turn right onto 73 West. If you are coming from the South, you will turn left onto 73 West. Follow 73 West through one light at Valley Green Road. The road will take a sharp curve to the left.
To go to our offices at Groton House: After the curve and right before the light at Bethlehem Pike, make a right onto the grounds of St. Thomas’ Church. Groton House is at the top of this driveway. Our offices are on the second floor.
To go to the Schoolhouse (where lessons are held): Turn right at the light at Bethlehem Pike (dead end). Turn right at the first light onto Camp Hill Road. Make the second right into the main driveway of St. Thomas’ Church (there are stone pillars). Make an immediate right into the parking lot. The Schoolhouse building is on the corner of Bethlehem Pike and Camp Hill Road. There is a pathway from the parking lot to the Schoolhouse.
From the Turnpike
Exit at Fort Washington (Route 309). Take 309 South (the second exit after the tolls). Follow directions for 309 coming from the North above.
Alternate Route: After exiting the turnpike, keep straight past the 309 exits. Merge right onto Pennsylvania Ave. Follow until it dead ends at Bethlehem Pike. Turn left onto Bethlehem Pike. At the second light, turn left onto Camp Hill Rd. and make your second right onto the grounds of St. Thomas’ Church. To go to the Schoolhouse building where lessons are held, make an immediate right into the parking lot. The Schoolhouse building is on the corner of Bethlehem Pike and Camp Hill Road. There is a pathway from the parking lot to the Schoolhouse. To go to our offices at Groton House, continue up the main driveway and bear around to the right of the church and down the hill to behind the church. Our offices are on the second floor.
