To enroll in any of the following offerings,

Text Box:                         Group Music Lessons
           Suzuki violin groups, Suzuki piano groups, 
               Youth Orchestra, chamber groups, and 
            master classes are available to all students 
                of Community Music Teachers and are 
             designed to enhance the music learning    
                 experience.  In addition, Academy       
offers group lessons in music theory and hand bells, as well as The Entertainers, our Broadway song and dance group.

The Academy offers individual music therapy, as well as adapted private music lessons for people of all ages with disabilities.  An Academy music therapist will schedule an assessment  to determine the best 
placement for each student.
Text Box: Performance Opportunities
Grand Concert Weekends, offered twice a  year, give each student the opportunity to  play a solo performance and be applauded by enthusiastic teachers, families and friends.  In addition, Academy students and performing groups are often invited to play at Open Houses and community concerts throughout the area.

Children 1-4 years old, along with their parents, receive a happy entrance into the world of music through singing, movement, and rhythm activities and exposure to various musical instruments.  All 
children receive a CD filled with songs to sing at home, as well as a musical activity book for families.

Children 4-6 years old, along with their 
parents, explore music skills through 
    music and movement activities that develop their pitch, rhythm, memory and listening skills.  Each child will have the opportunity to see, hear and play the violin, cello, piano, guitar and various rhythm instruments.

Text Box: Forte
Forte provides rewarding musical experiences for school-aged children, ages 6-18, in a variety of settings including schools, summer camps, and community centers.  Special emphasis is placed on reaching children with disabilities and economic 
disadvantages, and each Forte program is specially 
tailored to meet the needs of the students or facility.
Text Box: Harmony
Harmony brings the benefits of music to adults and older adults in the places where they live, learn, and receive care.  Specially tailored programs take place in adult care centers, group homes and senior centers.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

                             

 

 

 

 

 

                                        

Text Box: Crescendo Music Program
Crescendo serves over 1,200 children each year in Head Start and Early Intervention centers, shelters, and daycare centers throughout the Philadelphia area.  Crescendo children receive weekly music classes that help them grow in their developmental skills and self-esteem.  Crescendo families receive Parental Involvement Materials, including CDs and activity books.  Each year, Crescendo children perform in an annual Special Performances concert where they are applauded by their families, teachers, caring celebrities and the greater community.
